The engine temperature is too high

• Restriction in filter/cleaner or air induction system
• Fault in atomisers or atomisers of an incorrect type
• Fault in cold start system
• Restriction in exhaust pipe
• Fan damaged
• Too much lubricating oil in sump
• Restriction in air or water passages of radiator
• Insufficient coolant in system

Check by the workshop personnel

• Fault in fuel injection pump
• Timing of fuel injection pump is incorrect
• Valve timing is incorrect
• Cylinder head gasket leaks
• Piston is damaged
• Fault in thermostat or thermostat is of an incorrect type
• Restriction in coolant passages
• Fault in water pump
• Turbocharger waste-gate does not work correctly (if there is one fitted)
